note: if you want your cookies to be crispy, than you can use an electric mixer in this
recipe. If you prefer (as I do) a softer cookie, the batter should be mixed by hand.
Preheat oven to 350º F.
Measure:
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
Cream with:
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Combine and beat in until smoooth:
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon milk
Add to the above ingredients:
1 cup unbleached white flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
When beaten smooth, add:
Beat the mixture well. Drop cookies two inches apart on a well greased baking sheet and bake
for eight minutes, or until cookies are light brown.
