This tutorial is meant to be interactive. I think the best way to learn is to work along with it, using either a very simple word processor (like Notepad) or an advanced one that will let you write documents in HTML. All code should be saved as either .htm or .html. You can view your documents by opening them in your browser. It's a good idea to check through a document during several stages of its construction, especially when first learning to code. Another good idea is to keep a notebook that you can write bits of code and tags you think are important that you might forget.
